What is a Wristlet? 

By definition, a wristlet is a small, slim handheld pouch with a short strap designed to be worn around the wrist. Call it a functional fashion statement if you want to.

What sparked the birth of our STEALTH-X WRISTLET is a story we’d like to share with you.

Back in 2017, we came across a custom one-off wristlet handmade & gifted to one of our team members. We were immediately intrigued and inspired. The design was functional and intuitive and somehow it resonated with the entire team. We then began the process of redesigning and creating our very own version. Simply because there weren’t really any similar designs and we knew that this was unique.

After a series of material selections and design changes, we got the initial prototypes made and began using them as a casual EDC (Everyday Carry).

As we used the wristlets, we soon realized people started noticing it and enquired. So, we made a couple more and as we progressed and took the gear out on our own, we slowly gathered thoughts and feedback from our user experiences. We noticed that over time, each user was able to personalise theirs and this creation had unexpectedly become more applicable in a number of settings. We’d learnt that it was suitable for travel, for business meetings, casual dates and even some had brought it along to attend formal receptions!

Primarily, the wristlet was designed to carry and organise daily essentials and one key feature that truly struck was the ability for the users to personalize it, be it through morale patches, paracords, or even molle clips. We really enjoyed seeing how each piece was noticeably unique as time went on.

As a team, it was clear across the board that we had to make this official and embarked on a journey to realize this project and share it with more people.

It took us a year to design, create prototypes and collect data from these tests. Only to improve on the next. We experimented with tons of materials that we could get our hands on… (like really… TONS!). It was a matter of repeating those steps over and over again. Because each time we spoke to our users, we knew we made progress. This kept us going and we knew we were on to something.

Unfortunately, just when we thought everything was going well, COVID-19 showed up and like a lot of businesses, it landed us in quite a predicament and we had no choice but to put the project on hold.

As we continued discussing the realities of the pandemic setting in, we made a decision as a team that we had to keep going. Reminded by our ethos “Forged Through Adversity”, the team persevered and continued to build on newer perspectives and improvements. This eventually took us almost 2 years in all, constantly repeating the processes over.

As we went along, we could almost feel how close we were to the light at the end of this tunnel. The countless prototypes and hours paid off because the product was truly becoming something special. Something we were getting more and more confident in each time we made those improvements.

And while the process brought about many unexpected discoveries and new beginnings, we at INGUZ, would like to give a shoutout to all those that continued to believe in us and showed us support. You know who you are!

Introducing the STEALTH-X Wristlet
[SK-2101R]

Designed as an urban everyday carry option, the STEALTH-X Wristlet [SK-2101R] is constructed with the highest quality of materials combined with military-inspired features and user-ergonomics. Purposefully engineered for adaptability and functionality, its features provide the end-user with the ease of accessibility and personalisation.

The exterior is built with X-Pac® VX21, which is both waterproof and flexible. It protects all your essentials from rain, debris & other unexpected situations while maintaining the expansion capability.

The YKK polyurethane-coated zipper track is precision-engineered for carrying applications, where resistance to abrasion is highly crucial. It ensures a long-lasting and smooth operation, keeping the contents away from rain, debris and other natural elements. The protective padded layers provide basic and secure impact protection and maintains the overall structure.

An optional large loop panel (on one side) allows the ease of user-personalisation and identification insignia.

The SK-2101R is also equipped with a padded carrying handle that is adjustable and ambidextrous. Designed to be secured with Duraflex Slik Clip to allow different carrying styles. Handle can be removed or hidden neatly on one side.

Thoughtfully built with 2-way directional access to all pockets and compartments.

Internally, the ripstop material is a second layer of protection to the content as it is water-resistant and abrasion-resistant. The High-Vis orange enhances the user’s visual reaction time when accessing needed items.

Every STEALTH-X Wristlet is equipped with an INGUZ molle clip made out of impact-resistant composite material as a reflection of our ethos - Forged Through Adversity.
